Enterprise integration Methodology (EiM)
A Methodology for Describing an Enterprise in an Integrated Model
The Enterprise integration Methodology (EiM) is a methodology for describing an enterprise as a complete and integrated entity composed of distinct and related resources including capabilities and processes, suppliers and partners, customers, and other internal and external resources, and the relationships and interfaces between them.
EiMC applies EiM in the engineering, design, development, and re-engineering of enterprises, organizations, services, systems, programs, projects and processes to enable and assure operations are integrated, agile, affordable and able, meet mission and vision within the operational and external environments and constraints, and are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness. EiMC quickly, precisely, successfully and repeatedly delivers excellent results by using EiM to define, understand, communicate and analyze enterprises and to develop business-specific solutions.
Similar to the way the model of an urban plan with the individual models of building architectures, parks, roads and other urban resources better describes the architecture of the total complex environment and how it comes together to form the plan, EiM is used to describe an enterprise as a multidimensional architectural structure defining the boundaries, constraints, conditions and rules of a holistic and fully integrated architectural space.
When implemented in an enterprise, the EiM methodology is used to construct an integrated enterprise framework (iEF) based on the specifics of the enterprise.
Application of the methodology determines the optimal business conditions the enterprise needs to promote quality, value, and satisfaction for all employees, suppliers, customers, users and all other stakeholders.
The EiM methodology enables integrated enterprise reporting and supports the production of integrated EA artifacts by providing the insight required to holistically analyze the business and to enable and assure integrated enterprise operations.

The iEF is used to govern the structure of an integrated enterprise model (iEM) describing the specific enterpise. The iEM is used to support traditional EA activities.
In addition to use by enterprise architects, the model allows expanded usage of the structured description to provide added benefit and value to everyone through an integrated enterprise workflow (iEW) and other integrated EA artifacts used by management and the workforce in day-to-day operational activities and improvement initiatives.

EiM is applied to enable visualization of a specific enterprise to help understand and communicate the architectural structure for the purpose of providing totally holistic and integrated solutions to specific enterprise problems and business transformational needs. EiM can also be applied to provide an integrated enterprise model in a SharePoint implementation for use by everyone within your business.
Integrated enterprise workflow is combined with industry standards in system design and development to develop integrated enterprise design capabilties for the design and development of enterprises, programs, projects, services and systems.
Integrated enterprise design capabilites are then used on strategic transformation initiatives to design and develop new or improved enterprises, organizations, services, systems, programs, projects, processes and operations which are integrated, service-oriented, agile, affordable, able, operationally excellent and sustainable.
